How We Become Aware Of Change

To become aware of the process of change, we have to increase our awareness of what it is that we are.

Foremost we identify with what we are physical, with what we feel in our bodies and think in our heads.

But do we realise, that there is an exchange of 10 Million cells per second going on in our body?

10 million cells per second!

Are we aware of that the amount of data processed in our brains is, according to neuroscience, as complex as all the processes of the entire universe?

No!

Most of us are not, because we are too busy caring for the survival of what we identify as “I”, often limited to the pure survival of the body. And that is the mind-frame, the conditioning by which we perceive the world.

All seems “normal”!

Everything is quiet. Psst, don’t move, don’t disturb my peace in threat of  unknown results.

See, to understand what that does to us and in support of the change that happens within our bodies we have to refer to the source of life itself.

We need to change our fake and perishable identity from the momentary physical existence and its conditioned mind to the spectacular life-force that causes everything, including ourselves to take place.

What this involves is the willpower to hold still and notice the breath as it flows in and out, in and out.

You know, it’s not limited to us doing that! Just try to control it by holding it in or keeping it out, and you soon see, that there is a massive force behind it doing the same for all of us humans, animals, plants and worlds alike.

Understanding about “true self”

Once we learn to refer to that force, our understanding about the true-self and the feeling of who we are starts to grow.

And the fake I, that which permanently engages with desire on a physical plane, will slowly settle into a balanced state.

It is the limited identity, that which drives us in circles confined by our personal and social conditioning that will slowly fade, releasing us into the freedom of the creative soul.

Become aware of change by becoming aware of your breath!

Not only will you become more aware of who you truly are, but you will soon be more of an observer of your thought processes and thus, you will become free to choose which of those you want to follow.

That’s what true freedom is about. The freedom to decide what to create in your life!

We are the creators of our lives after all.

Surely, there are forces from the word “go” that influence the very basis we come with, but as soon as we become aware of the ongoing process of decisionmaking and who it is we are, the observer steps onto the stage and starts to govern wisely by practising awareness.
